We Are Generous Because the Gospel Is Generous

Why We Give

At The Woodlands Methodist Church, generosity is part of who we are, rooted in the love and grace of God. Your generosity helps us live out our mission of reaching people for Jesus, discipling them in faith, and helping those in need. With your support, we can extend God’s love beyond our walls and into the world.

Reaching People for Jesus

Share the gospel with those who need it most.

Discipling Them in Faith

Provide resources and opportunities for spiritual growth.

Helping Those in Need

Support ministries, outreach programs and missions to lift up those in our community and beyond.

We are generous because the gospel is generous to us.

God’s greatest gift to us was His Son, Jesus.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
— John 3:16

Giving is about what God wants for you, not from you.

Our giving flows from a heart of gratitude, not obligation or compulsion, giving out of joy for what God has done for us.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
— 1 Peter 4:10

Generosity is transformational, not transactional.

When we give, we participate in something far greater than ourselves.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where you treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
— Matthew 6:19-21
