When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. – Matthew 2:10Grace and peace, friends.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the wise men this Christmas season. For these magi, the journey to find Jesus was long and filled with challenges, yet it didn’t end when they reached Him – it was actually just beginning. They arrived as seekers, following the light of the star, but after encountering the newborn King, they left as worshippers, forever transformed by the Savior. Their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh reflected their recognition of who Jesus was, but their worship revealed hearts that had been changed.
Christmas day may have come and gone, but the spirit of this Christmas should never fade. Like the wise men, we’re reminded that the celebration of Jesus’ birth isn’t a conclusion but an invitation – a call to let the wonder of the manger shape how we live each day.
The wise men’s journey reminds us that following Christ isn’t a one-time event; it’s an ongoing, daily pursuit of His presence, walking in His light and sharing His love with the world.
As we step into this new year, let’s continue the journey. The joy of Christmas isn’t confined to one day. It’s a gift meant to carry us into the year ahead. Like the wise men, may we follow Jesus, bringing our hearts and lives as an offering of worship to Him.
Blessings to you all!
