The Woodlands Academy of Fine Arts

he Woodlands Academy of Fine Arts is part of the Music and Fine Arts Ministry of The Woodlands Methodist Church. It provides people of all ages a creative and musical outlet to study and develop their gifts. Currently, the Academy offers private lessons on piano, guitar, organ, drums, and voice. We also offer Art With Vision, a combination of doing art in community as well as a Bible study. The Woodlands Academy of Fine Arts also hosts The Woodlands Men's Chorus.


Traditional Worship

A variety of classic hymns and contemporary music are sung by the congregation and performed by choirs, ensembles, soloists, and an orchestra.


Harvest Worship

A Harvest service features a live worship band and the uplifting sounds of praise and worship songs along with prayer, creative storytelling and meaningful response times.


Loft Worship

The Loft is a sleek and creative expression of modern worship. This converted warehouse space is filled with energetic music, cutting edge media, live drama and dazzling light displays.


Chapel Worship

Our Chapel Services follow a formal order of worship on Sunday mornings, offering traditional Methodist liturgy and an inspirational message accompanied by a variety of classical and contemporary music in a smaller, more intimate setting.


Ensembles

A Cappella Choir

This audition-only ensemble is for singers who possess a keen ear for music.

Cross Section

If contemporary music is your taste, then you will enjoy being a member of this group.

Flute Choir

The Flute Choir is made up of flutists of all ages. They perform during the Christmas session and other times of the year.

Goldenaires

This non-audition ensemble is for Senior adults (age 55 and over) who love to sing and have fun.

The Woodlands Ringers

This handbell ensemble plays periodically throughout the year at Sunday morning services and for special occasions.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is a non-auditioned community of dedicated adult singers who help lead worship at the 11:00 a.m. service.

Drama Team

Gloryland Band

Gloryland Band is a big band for musicians who enjoy playing sacred and secular music in a jazz style

Sanctuary Orchestra

The Sanctuary Orchestra is comprised of adults and students in graded 9 through 12 (8th grade students will be considered, provided they are currently studying with a private music teacher).
